Dear colleagues,
dear friends of Section Forensic Psychology,
we have important news about this year's conference of Section Forensic Psychology - it goes virtual! Therefore, we are looking forward to your online participation on September 22nd-24th, 2021!
We made the decision to hold the conference online taking into account the current situation in Germany and worldwide. We are convinced that also under these circumstances, our conference will offer great opportunities for personal exchange and abundant new scientific knowledge. At the end of the second day of the event (September 23rd, 2021), we will have fun at our virtual social evening, so please prepare snacks in time and have some cool drinks ready! The social evening will take place right after the Young Researcher Award Ceremony.
We have extended our deadline for abstract submission until May 15th, 2021. We look forward to your contributions, also in innovative formats!
Our organizing team is happy to answer any questions you may have here: [email protected]
See you soon!
With best regards

Dear colleagues, dear students,
on behalf of the Section Forensic Psychology of the German Psychological Society, we kindly invite you to the 19th conference on September 22nd-24th, 2021.
We hope that we will actually be able to welcome you in person at the Psychologische Hochschule Berlin (PHB) then. The subject forensic psychology is represented at the PHB with a professorship for Forensic Psychology since 2015 and with an assistant professorship for Family Law Psychology since 2018. The research from the working groups is complemented by related research in the working group for Developmental, Educational and Family Psychology. |
Thus, the PHB is a place with thematically diverse research in forensic psychology and we are, therefore, very pleased to host the conference together.
The current circumstances, however, require flexible planning. As much as we would like to have an on-site conference, it is currently not possible to predict whether this will be possible in September 2021. We will decide on May 1st whether the meeting will take place on-site or online, based on the information that will be available at this time. However, one thing is already certain: The conference will take place IN ANY CASE on September 22nd-24th, 2021! If a live event in Berlin is not possible, we will hold the conference online.
Three keynotes have also already been confirmed. We are very pleased that we will be able to welcome highly qualified speakers:
Should it turn out that an on-site conference in Berlin will be possible, it will certainly be necessary to improvise one way or the other; perhaps the social evening will then take place at bar tables... However, Berlin is quite experienced in improvising and we are therefore optimistic that we will be able to organize an enjoyable on-site conference even at short notice.
Either way: we hope to welcome you in September and look forward to an exciting exchange!
